A vintage modified 930 Turbo came in after a rod bearing failure and severe detonation. The brief was to repair the damage, make at least 400 bhp with the best possible drivability, simplify the engine bay and move to electronic fuel and ignition.
The engine was rebuilt at 3.5 litres with LN Engineering cylinders, JE pistons, 8:1 compression, a twin-plug conversion, corrected ports and a KKK-based turbo with a billet compressor wheel. Standalone engine management and coil-on-plug ignition replaced the old setup, the engine bay was shaved and repainted with a custom sound pad, and a 964 centre console was adapted to the 930 floor.
